We’ve played cricket at “Shawholm” for well over 130 years, having moved here in 1880, not long after the club was founded.  As our history page says, after starting out on the site of the old Pollokshaws Race Course, the club moved to an area called “Shaw Holm”, described as being “near the point at which Pollokshaws Road crosses the Cart and Shawholm Crescent was laid out“.  And we’ve been here ever since.

Though there are always works ongoing, and changes have been made over the decades, the essential layout of the ground – pictured below – has remained unaltered, history and the ghosts of players past being found in almost every corner.
